The Cullen Filter is going viral on TikTok

On TikTok, a new trend has emerged that sees people using an effect that’s been dubbed the Cullen Filter.

“This photo shows what you look like as a Cullen,” TikTok users are claiming before testing it out for themself.

The filter, which is actually called ‘Dazzling Look’ on TikTok sharpens and blurs the image, making you look a little bit like a cartoon character.

The Cullens are a fictional vampire family in The Twilight Saga, a series of five vampire-romance teenage fantasy films based on novels written by author Stephenie Meyer. 

In the films, the family consists of Edward, Carlisle, Alice, Esme, Alice and Emmett, who are all vampires.

Edward is the most famous Cullen, played by famous actor Robert Pattinson. He attends high school and falls in love with Bella Swan, who is played by Kristen Stewart.

People on TikTok are essentially saying that the filter makes them look like a vampire from the Twilight films.

How to get the filter

If you want to try the filter for yourself, it’s really easy to do.

  • Open TikTok and tap ‘discover’.
  • In the search bar, type ‘Cullen filter’.
  • Find someone who has used the filter, above their username, it will have an orange box that says ‘dazzling look’.
  • Click on this and press ‘try this effect’.
